sparkgappage

I have been working on my own homepage that will consolidate items of interest concerning ham radio.

Sparkgap.net is that project.  I have done all the design and programming.   It cuurently gathers news, dx spots, youtubes and Craigslist forsale items.

Look at it and should you find it interesting or have suggests, let me know.

New Ham in Family – KE5ZTB

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Shannon, my youngest son, found time while at Henderson State University to get his ham radio license.   While I was visiting in Arkansas the first week of March, we attended the Russellville Hamfest.  He passed his technician.

Now the fun begins and I have to come up with another radio!  Currently he has a Yaesu VX-6R and is in Arkadelphia, Arkansas attending college.

Flagstaff to Amarillo

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Sunset in the rear view mirror.

Had to cover over 600 miles today, so did not spend much time other than driving.  However, enjoyed a ‘view from the window’ tour.  I have already been to most of the places like meteor crater, petrified forest and grand canyon but was nice to pass by so close.   I do enjoy the desert.

Santa Fe Train

So, am getting all settled here in Amarillo and resting for tomorrow – destination Dallas to visit Collin and Becca.  Wonder where they will have us go for dinner?

More photos are here.
